A quieter sandy retreat nestled between El Púlpito rock and Conchas Chinas, accessed by a scenic coastal stone path over the rocky promontory.
Playa Amapas offers a peaceful escape right next to the vibrant energy of Los Muertos. Reached by climbing the stone staircase that wraps around the iconic El Púlpito headland, this secluded golden-sand cove is framed by towering tropical jungle trees and rocky formations. Its gentle waters and shaded corners make it a favorite hideaway for reading, relaxing, and quiet ocean dips.
How to get there
Centrally located in Puerto Vallarta with direct pedestrian and road access.
- Take any green city bus along Blvd. Francisco Medina Ascencio to Centro (10 MXN).
- 5-10 min drive from anywhere in Central Puerto Vallarta.
